While we are confident 99.9% of all flower deliveries go through without a problem, sometimes things do go wrong. While obviously your first port of call has to be the florist or call centre who took the
order, if that fails we want to try and help.
We need to have the details in writing … preferably with the photograph, but if you do have an issue with a flower delivery then let us know and we’ll do our best to help.
If you have ordered from an "internet florist" or a florist who is not a BFA member, you may be best contacting Consumer Direct at http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/
The most important thing you can do to ensure you have the best flower buying experience, is to ensure you are dealing with a British Florist Association member. To search our 3000 plus members simply enter a town, or choose a county from the "Find a Florist" box to the right of the page - there is bound to be a member florist local to you! If you have any difficulty locating a florist, please call the Secretariat on 0844 800 7299, or drop us an email and we will be pleased to help.
If you are wishing to send flowers to friends or relatives in hospital, following corespondence with the Department of Health, the BFA recommends that flowers be ordered from a local professional retail florist and have them arranged in a container of floral foam rather than a bunch of flowers. This negates the need for busy hospital staff to have to arrange bunches of flowers into a vase of water.
