Aims and ObjectivesTo incorporate all floristry judges from whatever organisation they belong.
To provide continuous professional development for existing judges.
To ensure consistency in all aspects of judging. To ensure that British judging maintains its high standards, and upholds the quality objectives in European competitions.
To provide training to professional florists wishing to judge Nationally and Internationally.
To provide companies organising competitions with fully accredited judges.
To organise refresher courses, for existing judges who wish to update their knowledge of European developments.
To charge a standardised fee for judging, relative to the training floristry judges have achieved.
To draw up a common code of ethics and criteria including any international criteria required by FLORINT (International Florist Organisation).
To help member judges become affiliated to FLORINT with the possible opportunity of a European Judging assignment.
To create a website listing the activities and achievements of the Guild together with a listing of all members who will be available for companies/organisations to call upon for competition judging.
To hold an annual meeting covering, theoretical, practical and social activities.
