BFA Shows Live! RHS Hampton Court

Another Silver Gilt Medal was awarded for the BFA exhibit at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show last week. The stand was situated in the 'Floral Energy Studio' which was situated right next door to the main entrance to the flower show. As well as floral exhibits from professional florists such as van Wonderen Flowers, Society of Floristry and Jane Packer the marquee was also showcasing some of the finest colleges from the South East of England.

The theme 'Floral Energy' which could be interpreted in many different ways saw exhibits featuring the 4 elements, fire, earth, wind and water as well as wellbeing, creative energy, botanical energy which all proved to be extremely popular with the visiting public.
Flowers used in the BFA stand, which was done to the interpretation of the theme using growth, included: Gladioli, Gerbera's Allium, Chrysanth, Carnations and assorted mixed greenery.
 
The live demonstrations in the marquee were a big hit with the audience and saw member florists Sarah Horne, Claire Cowling and Dennis van Wonderen creating inspirational and beautiful displays whilst highlighting the benefits of using a florist to purchase fresh flowers for the home.

The whole stand was created by Amanda Eldred and Steve Betts with the help of many volunteers such as Joy Gilder and the team from Buds and Blooms in Esher.
Without the generous help of these volunteers these shows would be almost impossible to do so a BIG thank you to all that helped create the award winning stand!
