Flowers-by-Florists continue to support the BFA

Keith Bentley, CEO/chairman of Flowers-by-Florists Limited, has told Professional Florist he wants to publicise the fact that the company still includes BFA membership as part of its service.

As noted in a recent article in Professional Florist, eFlorist members can now receive a discounted fee – of £60 for one year of membership – to join the BFA. Mr Bentley points out, however, that eFlorist used to provide automatic BFA membership included in its own fees, and that Flowers-by-Florists continues to do so.

Mr Bentley says: “Flowers-by-Florists continues to provide full individual membership to its full network members as an inclusive element of its fees (of £20 plus VAT per month). We consider this to be of major strategic importance to the future of independent professional florists and recognition of the part that the BFA has in maintaining their role in the industry.

“Flowers-by-Florists, also being a Patron Plus Member of the BFA, is fully committed to its code of practice and all it sets out to achieve. We operate only to support professional florists to deliver to their customers the high level of personal service and individual creativity that will ultimately be lost if the professional florists’ role is not defended and promoted.

“I certainly recommend that eFlorist members take up the BFA offer. I believe it is important to them, but I also recommend they take a good look at what Flowers-by-Florists has to offer, which will continue to include free BFA membership.”
