The BFA are proud to announce that Teleflorist has teamed up
with the British Florist Association to offer their members BFA
accreditation.
Speaking about the partnership, Ian Brett, Teleflorist Managing
Director commented “The BFA Board
is committed to supporting their Members which very much fits with
Teleflorist’s ethos. BFA
brings a huge number of benefits including advisory helplines, industry
wage scale profiles, benchmarking schemes, and industry update
information.”
Established over 50 years ago, BFA is the only floristry trade
association recognised by Government both in the UK and in Europe – it is
seen as ‘the voice of the industry’.
BFA regularly lobbies government to support independent florists
for fairer trading conditions.
Currently they are in discussion with the Department of Health
regarding the ban of flowers in some hospitals.
Mark Ward, President of
the BFA, said “We are pleased to be
working with Teleflorist as, during our recent discussions, Teleflorist
demonstrated how committed they are to working with us to protect and
promote retail florists.”
Teleflorist
will soon be contacting all of its members to offer them BFA accreditation
at no additional cost. “It is an extra element we are pleased
to give our members as part of their benefits package,” commented
Helen Atkinson, Teleflorist’s Membership Director. She added “One of the crucial aspects of BFA
accreditation is that it also gives added consumer confidence in our
members’ work, as they will be signing up to the BFA’s Code of
Practice. Buying from a BFA
florist means you should be buying
from one of the best – we are confident that the majority of
our members will meet and exceed BFA’s Code of
Practice.”
