The results from the Europa Cup competition are in.
Neil Whittaker NDSF FSF AIFD came an impressive fourth place out of twenty
competitors - and just 0.6 points away from third place.
The first
four place results were:
1st Nadine Weckardt,
Germany 464.6 points 2nd Andreas Stern, Austria 463.8 points 3rd
Christian Kaempf, Switzerland 460.8 points 4th Neil Whittaker, Great
Britain 460.2 points
Neil was ecstatic at the result, having also
placed first in the "Pippi's Feast" portion of the competition. BFA
President Mark Ward is delighted with the result, saying "This is the
highest position ever achieved by a Great Britain competitor, and the
extremely close results of the competiton show just how incredibly high
the standard was. Neil's work was amazing."

The Europa Cup
takes place every four years. Twenty countries competed this year, in six
sections: Pippi's Feast, Bridal Bouquet, Arrangement of Pot Plants, Jože
Plečnik (architect), Bouquet, and Surprise. For further details on the

Neil's section winning "Pippi's Feast" will be on
display at the BFA Conference on the afternoon of Saturday 27th October,
where Neil will also be demonstrating. Click here

packed the van back up at the end of the competition at the Red
Hall in Velenje, Slovenia on Sunday night (30th September) for the
1,600 mile return drive back to Britain by Neil's partner and
