BFA VISION 2019 WORKSHOPS

 

SATURDAY WORKSHOPS

We're delighted to invite you to three training workshops on Saturday afternoon, designed especially for florists these present exciting opportunity to gain essential information to help your business.

We have three workshops.

1.30 - 3.00pm             First session workshops - Optimising Your Marketing with Mailchimp | Workshop 2. | How to be a greener Florist* | Workshop 3.
3.30 - 5.00pm             Second session workshops - Optimising Your Marketing with Mailchimp | Workshop 2. | How to be a greener Florist* | Workshop 3.

 *Both workshops will be taking place simultaneously in different rooms and both workshops will run in both time slots.

Handouts and essential information will be given to each delegate that attends to take away, allowing you plenty of time to progress the information you have been given and increase your business sales. 

 

Mike Bourguignon - 360º Marketing strategy 

This workshop will give an understanding of how to create a florist centred digital marketing strategy. The concept is to look into marketing with a holistic approach rather than concrete actions, and to be able to compete against the Golliaths without actually entering into the terrain and having to outspend them. 

This strategy will look at how to create the most as a local florist, whilst showcasing the best as a designer.

The workshop will look at the following:

Tracey Griffin - Optimising Your Marketing with Mailchimp

Tracey Griffin will be sharing her expertise on how simple it is to use Mailchimp to optimise your marketing and increase income for your business.

The session will mainly concentrate on:

  • The steps to create mailing lists and how you can encourage clients to sign up.
  • The step of creating newsletters & e-shots within Mailchimp

However, the workshop will also touch upon how and when you can use mail outs:

  • As a lead generation strategy
  • To convert your prospects to clients
  • Increase your average order value
  • Get your customers buying more often
  • What content you can send to clients
  • How to work within GDPR legislation

Tracey has a lifetime of experience in the trade, her Mum’s Florist has been in business for 50 years (including before Tracey came along!) As a multi award winning florist she knows about all aspects of floristry. Most recently she has worked as a marketing consultant for the BFA, prior to that she proudly  co-founded Florismart.

 

 

Nicola Hanney - How to be a Greener Florist

Nicola from Wild and Wondrous flowers is a florist that finds a balance in the practical side of floristry and is aware of the environmental impact of floristry practices. 

During the workshop Nicola will be sharing advice on how to make practical changes within your business to become more environmentally aware and a greener florist.

Nicola is a qualified florist with 28 years experience. She has had her own business 'Wild & Wondrous Ltd.' for over 5 years, so fully appreciates the demands put upon floristry from all sides. As well as her wealth of floristry knowledge and experience Nicola also has a BSc Hons Environmental Science and MSc Contaminated Land & Remediation.

Nicola is ideally placed to teach the steps and considerations that she has taken in her own business and the impact of the enviroment within a floristry business.  You will  learn how making choices in a range of floristry areas that can help the environment.

This very hot topic is so important as consumer's attitudes shift and awareness of all environmental matters come to the fore.
