Floristry qualification courses delivered at Wigan & Leigh College, Parsons Walk Campus have a flourishing reputation and are consistently delivered with levels of outstanding teaching.

This is the last year delivering this programme; we will be changing to C&G qualifications in the next academic year 2021-22.
Floristry students develop their artistic display skills and floral knowledge in a bespoke workshop setting. We pride ourselves in being a relaxed and friendly department that looks after and nurtures our students on their creative pathways. The course intent is to help students develop an array of transferable skills which prepares students for working within the floristry sector or going on to study further at a higher level. The department is managed by Vicky Madden with Helen Green delivering the Level 3 programme and Sarah Hughes delivering the Level 2.

Floristry qualifications are delivered in line with high industry standards. Work placements, work-related learning, visits, workshops and talks are offered by local and national florists as part of the programme.
Level 2&3 learning takes places through practical demonstration, observation and class led activities.
Assessment is evidenced through portfolio of work, written assignment work and evidence of work experience.
Level 2 and Level 3 students annually take part in the Christmas Floral Extravaganza at Arley Hall as part of their coursework and work experience.
Level 3 Students take part the competition work for the Harrogate Flower show annually.
