How it works
Florists attending the school will be provided with all the flower and sundries required (you can even take home what you don’t use.) Those fortunate to attend the full course will spend one day with each designer learning the tutors chosen subject and concept designs. The atmosphere of the workshops are wonderfully relaxed, yet the work will stretch the most experienced designer.
Moreton Morrell is a lovely college, based in the heart of Warwickshire countryside, with gardens are full of flowers and foliages ready to be explored, you can even cut materials from the grounds should you wish! Lunch is provided each day and tea and coffee are on tap. We usually have a sociable evening out altogether for something to eat and drink too. We are confident the EFS will prove to be a special place for learning and relaxation. Accommodation is available at college but there are lots of B&B’s and Hotels around if you require any further information please email email@example.com for further information.
Good to know
This event was fully subscribed in 2019 and since its first school back in 2013 it has grown where florists had a fantastic time and were enquiring when the next one would be held before the weekend was over.
Tor Gundersen – is a master of botanical design. The love for his Norwegian home and nature that surrounds him is evident in his designs. From a young age his love of floristry set him apart, winning his first floral competition at seventeen. He then won the Nordic championships 5 times and competed at the World Cup before competing at the Europa Cup in 1995 and was victorious by winning this prestigious competition. Tor uses natural and sustainable materials in all his work and has always done so. An expert in this field. In 1998 he opened his own shop in Oslo and is one of the most sought after designers in Scandinavia and we are honoured to receive our guest at this European Floristry School.
Dominique Herold – is best known for her gorgeous transparent techniques. Born in Germany, Dominique has travelled extensively teaching in China, Japan, Spain, Korea, Belgium and the Netherlands. She won the Berlin championships of Floral Design in 2017 which then propelled her career to work with Floral Fundamentals and large scale designer Klaus Wagner among many others. Dominique sits on the Examining board of IHK Berlin and since 2016, she is a Floos ‘Master Florist’ and one of the designers who publishes her work on The Crafters Secrets series of books.
Premysl Hytych– is a sensitive observer of life and storyteller. A passionate practitioner and promoter of the art of floristry, regular award-winner at international floristry competitions and lecturer and coach at professional seminars and workshops. His love of the natural material is appealing to the observer’s heart and senses. Premysl graduated in Garden Engineering, Faculty of Horticulture at Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic and his latest achievement was a top 5 placement at the World Cup Philadelphia in 2019.
