The RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition is held each year at the world famous RHS Chelsea flower show in partnership with the British Florist Association.
Each year the BFA embarks on a nationwide search on behalf of the RHS to find the finalists for this prestigious competition.
Regional heats are held across the UK for florists to compete against each other in the race for the RHS Florist of the Year title. Though this process we're sure we have 32 of the most talented florists in the UK competing who are already winners just to make it this far taking part in this national final competition.
This year nearly 500 hopefuls competed at regional level. Each competitor has their piece marked by the UK Floristry Judges Guild following RHS guidelines.
The competitors will be bringing the carnival atmosphere to Chelsea as they have to create a headdress suitable for a Brazilian Carnival.
There are two sessions throughout the RHS Chelsea flower show, Chelsea Florist of the Future will be staged late in the evening of Sunday 22nd May ready for the following press day and members days on Tuesday and Wednesday - these under 23 years will then be removing their design Wednesday evening ready for the staging of the second session and the RHS Chelsea Florist of the year Competitors to display their designs that will be displayed Wednesday pm through to the end of the show on Saturday Evening.
