THE SPECIAL MESSAGE...
Flowers speak volumes but when you place your order you will be offered a small gift card that come with the flowers and so a card message.
Really have a think about what you want to say, don't be forced to come up with your message on the spot and later think of something you wish you'd written!
Whilst we encourage sending flowers 'just because' throughout the whole year, to express the love and gratitude you have for your partner (or family & friends), if you don't take the opportunity on Valentine's day to tell the one you love that very heart-felt message, when will you?
If you need some ideas... what do you love about them, this can be the smallest things - the way they laugh, the everyday things - what a fantastic mother/father they are, the selfless things - their generosity (be specific). Has your love grown as time has gone by - tell them.
Just take 5 minutes to think about what makes them so special to you... you'll have plenty to say and do say it! Don't go for the average message when you can make it personal and it'll mean so much more. This is the normal message that we're encouraging to get away from!
With all that said the small gift cards that go with your flowers are quite small so you'll need to say it all in around 20 - 30 words, although if you find you have so much you want to say, ask if you're florist sells larger gift cards that they can add to the flowers and let you wax lyrical or even better place the order with your local BFA florist in person and see if your florist will be happy to attach your card with your flowers, most florists will happily do this, but try to avoid the card being too large so it doesn't damage your flowers.
