Floristry at East Durham College (Houghall Campus)
Set on a stunning 476-acre estate, minutes from Durham City Centre, the Houghall Campus is a fantastic place to study Floristry. Our highly skilled Floristry team, manged by Master Florist Rebecca Hough MDPF AFIoPF, are proud to run one of the largest and most successful floristry departments in the country. The team has a wide range of industry experience which they strive to share with the learners, from retail work, to large scale wedding and events, through to high level competitions experience, including an RHS Chelsea Florist of the Year title and several RHS Chelsea Medals. Students are actively encouraged to get involved in all aspects of the industry inside and outside of the classroom.
We offer a range of courses for people with all skill levels, from taster and introduction courses, through to industry recognised professional qualifications and workshops for florist who wish to learn something new. Currently, our main courses are:
